        Final Thoughts

... flight was uneventful. My lasting impression of the countryside was how much it reminded me of N.Z. with its rolling green hills and sheep. Without exception, every one we met was friendly and helpful. The food was good and plentiful (sometimes too plentiful) and we enjoyed trying some of the local beers and ciders. We were particularly ...

        Day 3

A travel blog entry by beaching on Jun 13, 2015

Did the 10-11 session this morning with the whole group. In depth instruction of the warm up moves with Sensei Torben from Denmark. Second session was with Sensei Tata from Argentina. All about sets of 3 moves at a time, different combinations based on Geiki Sai Dai Ich Kata. I had a good partner, so it was fun. Had a migraine, though, and left after that session. Dave finished at 2, so we went to ...

        Breakfast and Lincoln

We parked under the rain and walked in and around Harvard buildings. We went for diner to legal seafood. Then we walked back to the car and followed him to his place in Lincoln. His house looked very beautiful at night and we stayed at the huge ...

Things I learned in Ghana 1. Temperatures of 30+ with 90% humidity are cool days 2. Giving it to the fact that you will be sopping wet and sweaty for the duration of your stay makes life much easier 3. You may stink but someone else always smells worse 4. Your only name while in Ghana is yevu 5. 1 cedi (about 30cents) will get you just about anywhere you want to go in Ho as long as you don't mind multiple stops and other riders 6. Cold water showers suck even in the heat ...

... anime for quite a while.

It was a fun night and thankfully, an oddly warm change in temperature so the walk home wasn't too bad. It got up to 18 degrees! So much more comfortable than the 2 it has been.

The next day we went to a pumpkin carving contest then carved our own pumpkin. It was so much easier than we expected and didn't matter that we only had a steak knife to use. He is Sir Pitty and looks ...
