Kampot
Kampot is a quiet riverside town just north of Cambodia's southern coast. Unlike many of the other places I've been, there isn't a laundry list of must-see sights, so I took advantage of this opportunity to relax. I did enjoy a day tour which I'll talk about in another post.
In Kampot, there is a small movie theater. I saw two films while …

Magic Sponge GH: Fan room $8 bathroom down the hall.
It is a short drive down the coast from Sihanoukville to Kampot, a town of 40000 or so. Kampot is not exactly on the ocean but it fronts an estuary that ebbs and flows with the tides. It looks like a river and everyone …

And I'm staying at the absolute best hostel - enjoyed myself so much here. Minus being …

Buddha said we should observe without judging. This is difficult here in Cambodia. They seem to want to catch up with the economic success and …

TravelPod Member ReviewsThe Magic Sponge Kampot
My stay at The Magic Sponge was fantastic. William, the new owner as of just a week ago, is super enthusiastic and is making many great improvements. Also, the food is awesome. No better place in town.
