    ... felt like free - fall!

    We checked out Google in Palo Alto and San Jose... both not really worth seeing in my opinion..

    After our little loop, we arrived at Tahoe Lake. Unfortunately, it was cold and rainy. The thunder was so loud that even car alarms went off !!!

    Coarsegold was our last stop before heading to Fresno.

    ... did from union square to Lombard Street. Its great wat to see the Lombard Street, since it stops at Hyde Park, which is at the top of the Lombard Street and saves a climb. Tickets are 6$ per ride.

    ... in Anchorage until after 8pm and then headed for the airport by a shuttle van. Time went rather quickly considering the plane left just before 1am! No roof or bed this night, just an airport and a plane!

    ... and mainly just trying to get away from us humans but I was still a bit worried about someone becoming bear food, especially when a Chinese family who had been driving in the opposite direction, pulled a wild u-turn and ran maniacally down the hill after it waving small children about. We also spotted a coyote, lots of cute chipmunks, cat-sized squirrels and mule deer. Tons of ace animal bothering.     ... learned that these trees live for thousands of years, can measure around 20 feet in diameter, but only have roots four feet deep. Being the USA, they have named them. We saw the Old Grizzly (the biggest of them all), the clothes peg, the tunnel tree, the bachelor and three graces, the faithful couple, to name just a few.
