We had no sweaters or waterproofs and the temperature had gone from mid 70's to mid 50's with rain, and, I got altitude sickness. Yosemite cut short, and the route out changed. We were planning to drive over Tioga Pass, but it's nearly 10,000 feet and I daren't risk it. So were heading the southern route to Death Valley. About 80 miles and two hours longer ...

... cross over to the otherside. It amazed us what a difference the sun makes as when we were in the Valley it was foggy and drizzling. So we took more pictures of El Capitan and then headed north thru 3 tunnels. It wasn't a terribly long ride but you went from the park to Stanislaus National Forest, 2 miles of private property and then the park again. During this trip we saw a lot of fire damaged areas, in fact part of the National Forest and the private property had ...

Last night we parked up in the Walmart car park. It was quite safe but rather noisy. We learned how to use the furnace (because it is really cold) and all the other appliances. We have a fridge, microwave, shower and toilet but you have to turn on the water pump to use the loo. You also have to turn on the generator to use the water pump. Peeing is a noisy business!

      Today we made ...
