... be detrimental to tourism? Either way, I'm glad we got our permits, and the hotel is helping us make arrangements for transportation to/from.

We have certainly left the cool mists of the highlands far, far, behind, and I'm really looking forward to the next couple of weeks of beach time, then it'll be back to urban Singapore for family, friends and food.

Power comes on in Port Barton as it is supposed to: at 6pm sharp. The first time in 3 days. Arnold turns on the colored lights in the large cabana, one shines directly in the rotating disco ball, diffusing the light in all directions. Instant ambiance. ... there, the people at Villa Marguerita had prepared a lunch for us, mainly fish (whole again) and rice. As we were leaving the owner of Paradise Island gave us a beautiful long pink shell.
