Checked out nearby Johnson lake on the way back to Banff and came across another massive bull elk just sitting by the side of the road. He was yodeling for his females. Eeeee, that's an eerie sound! Saw lots more elk foraging in the meadows. They definitely seem to come our more at dusk.

Hiking at Lake Louise
... big. Walking in the sun was nice and we were actually hot at times. Manny was happy to find any little spring or brook to get a sip of water. The trail to the Plain of Six Glaciers was long and hot and we quickly went through our water and were definitely ready for lunch when we arrived. Jasper - Banff (Icefields Parkway)
... Nach einem netten Beisammensitzen mit den drei am nächsten Morgen haben wir uns alle im eigenen Tempo auf den Weg gemacht Richtung Columbia Icefield. Bis dahin muss man allerdings einen Großteil des ersten Passes, dem Sunwapta Pass, bezwingen.
