201 Kerikeri Road Kerikeri, Bay of Islands, North Island, New Zealand, 0230, 64-9-4076693-
Well, today we are finally leaving Richard and his place at the Stone Store Lodge. Which By, the way is a charming bed and breakfast so, if you have some money to spare and don't want to blow it all in some cheesy hotel. Then go to www.stonestorelodge.co.nz and see all the loveley pictures and everything. this place has been preety nifty I must say. We get up around 8 or 9 and just chill out in our wing of the house and wait until the guests have finished there breakfasts and then we go and s...

WWOOFing for those of you unfamiliar with the term and are imagining me sitting back and howling to the moon is a voluntary organisation for organic farmers and has nothing whatsoever to do with dogs. It stands for Willing Workers On Organic Farms and after several years of appreciating the less work filled end of the stick I thought it was about time to see things from the other side! (Plus I'm slightly poorer than I was when setting out on this adventure and it is a ...
Kerikeri, North Island, New Zealand ciaradoonerush... jetzt Urlaub haben.
Paihia, North Island, New Zealand shimmy08Kerikeri (Still) * I'm Still in Kerikeri * Still not working (it's been two days since work was 'confirmed') * I'm leaving on Friday, even if there is work. The story/lesson/What happened. I stopped to work because I fancied being still, getting to know some people and earning some cash that I could spend guilt free. We'll I've been still, got to know some people and spent some cash ...
Kerikeri, North Island, New Zealand theroad2... result that we were buffeted from side to side as we fought our way up the coast. The motorway didn't last long either, although it was probably better to be battling along on normal roads rather than in three lanes of traffic. Apart from the wind, the journey went well and we made reasonable time up to the Bay of Islands area, stopping only for lunch and to do a 'big-shop' in Whangarei. We didn't have a definite plan for where to park for the ...
Waitangi, North Island, New Zealand ajbatty... We arrived at our destination around 5 and by the time we were all situated and unpaked it was dark and people were hungry. The grandparents are staying in a posh hotel, while mother and me are residing in a Hostle called the mouse trap. It's very nice for a mouse trap, very inviting, warm and charming. We ate out at a see food restaurant that served meels for 30$ no more no less ...
Paihia, North Island, New Zealand minijexter... for at least 2 days and a 6 pack for about $80.00 (and all from the grocery store). It is definitely cool here in the evening and is jacket weather. Just down the street from the grocery store is McDonalds and this is were we find the best internet deal. Hotel internet rates here are outrageous. 68 cents a minute in your hotel room to use your own computer, in the Business Centre of the Hotel the rate is 20 minutes for $4 ...
Kerikeri, New Zealand indianajill... so far and by far! I had to drag myself away from Spirits Bay to get headed to the furthers point North in New Zealand which is Cape Reinga. This is basically just a little bit of land high up on the cliffs with a light house, but below the cliff is the most stunning views of golden postcard beaches and the crashing swirlling waves where the Pacific Ocean colides with the Tasman Sea. It was well cool looking! On the way back I picked up ...
Paihia, North Island, New Zealand mrsplaying_dead... about the place is that I am sharing my dorm with a couple of weirdos. For that reason, I am going to try and keep away from the hostel as much as possible which will be hard because there is hardly anything to do! The morning was ok though. Me, Andy and the other guy went for a walk up the nearby hill to get some views of the surrounding area. Although it was nice, it ...
