... for the aligators. A splendid visit!

The rest of the day is spent chewing up the miles - not a bad day actually with a few stops. Very hot though and we eventually got to the Days Inn hotel at Perry about 7pm.

A lovely shower with a chance to also wash some smelly clothes left us somewhat refreshed. Straight down into the local Mexican restaurant where the food was good but the beer ever better.

To bed at 10pm to catch an early start tomorrow!

... the waiters didn't seem have more than a smattering of English.

Suitably fortified we retired to bed with the prospect of another long day ahead - a 442 mile journey to New Orleans.

Apologies for the lack of photos, but I just haven't had the time to upload any as I've been spending eight or nine hours on the bike each day. Will rectify the situation as soon as possible.

About all that is missing down here are the Jesus loves you signs dotting the highways and biways like in South Georgia. I guess this part of the world is far enough below the bible belt to escape its ...

... remember our adventures in Steinhatchee...a great place to be if you love to fish, love to fish, love to fish...You know you are getting bored when I fall for Tom's practical Bev and I went walking. When I returned Tom had cleaned the outside windows of the boat. He then challenged me to a $5 bet that I couldn't get the inside ones cleaner than his outside job. Never one to back away from a challenge, ...

... it was delicious! Today we dingied to the local pizza place for lunch and, again, while Tom and Bev enjoyed pizza and lasagna (and Tom ate one whole pizza by himself), they made me a sub that was excellent...if you ever get to Steinhatchee, remember Howie's Pizza and Subs...luckily we got there at the right time since the local Sheriff's department had just picked up 95 orders for the local DARE program participants. To show local support, we helped him ...
