As this was our day to move on we collected our bags and made our way to the airport car hire. Steve had done a deal earlier with them so we decided to put only him on as driver to keep down insurance coats. For the next hour, we walked around downtown and I swear, every last business we went into had the friendliest folks you could hope for. We spent most of our time in the Village Hall, where people were paying their water bills today, and joked around with a woman who works there, Sherry. We kept trying to get people to give their bill payments to J.P., but no one fell for it. ;) I mean, how else are we going to pay the show back ...

Because we missed Peru, IL so much (if you’ve already forgotten, we spent a week in Peru when we blew our transmission a couple of weeks ago), we went back there after Marseilles to get an oil change at Fulmer’s Service Station (the same place that replaced our transmission). How has this lodge rated in the past?
Lovely cabins, super rooms. Amazing view from window. Lovely food (though portions were so large we ordered 1 person's meal for both of us)
