... to the top you take 3 cable ways which ascend 2000m in total. with neither Brad nor I not liking heights we were a bit apprehensive when we saw how steep the first climb was but once you are on your up the surrounding scenery is so beautiful that you don’t give it another thought (they are enclosed cable cars we are just wissy). Despite the over 20 tour busses in the car park we had missed the early rush and went up with only 2 to 3 other families. At the top of Titlis we made ...

... his pain, it is quite a moving monument. The kids were amazed at how big it was, it is carved in the rock face above a water pool in a very tranquil, tree lined area. We walked on the famous medieval Chapel Bridge adorned in beautiful flowers, tasted delicious food and explored the city. We will miss the beautiful panorama and tranquil surroundings and even our neighbouring cows with their bells ringing. ...

We leave Brusti and immediately start to climb. In no time we are out of the trees and in the sun. It is a steady climb up a ridge where we can see down two different valleys. We now see the cows we heard in the fog yesterday. We are heading up the Surenenpass about 2500 feet above where we ...

... the bus back to Engelberg, we decided to take the train back. We loved the train ride. The last stretch of the ride is up a 20% grade using a cog mechanism which helps pull the train up the side of the mountain to Engelberg. Once we emerged out of the tunnel we were in the the village. We are so happy we took the train. It was a great experience.
