... were back in India. We spend the day sledging and playing in the snow. When we had had our fill of the snow we took the cable car half way down to see the glacier lake. The lake was a welcome surprise and was a peaceful retreat from the tour groups. There was no one there but us and it just reinforced the fact that you can find a bit of peace and quiet even in the most tourist populated area if you make the ...

This morning we visited the lovely walled city of Verona, where we saw Juliet's house & balcony before walking around the town square & down the main shopping street. We then hiked down Rigi to about half way, down well trodden paths hugging the summit then along a ridge. At every vantage point, the view was breathtaking. This was ...

We left St. George one month ago. We feel like we have been here longer than that which is a good thing. We are savoring and enjoying each day and feel blessed to be able to see the places we have been and meet the great people we have met. We had a great nights sleep and when we awake, the Alps are really out there and we can see them. We can see the trail from our window as we get packed and ready for breakfast. Breakfast is great, some kind of Swiss muesli ...

... us had a lot of fun playing in the snow. Many of them had never played in the snow before.

When we came down the mountain, we went into the city of Lucerne. Lucerne is built on a lake. It is quite famous for watches and Swiss army knives. We wandered through the streets of Lucerne, watched the swans on the lake and strolled across a 13th century wooden bridge. We went on a boat ride on the lake.

    Instead ...
