The guides asked us to make sure not to let the horses eat because there are poisonous flowers out there, but I also think it's because if the horses top to eat on these rides, they'll never get home. After the ride, following our drive to pack a day with activities beyond belief, Abe and I decided we would drive to the Firehole River to see about swimming at a swimming hole we had confirmed earlier in the ...

Being an only child with an orphaned mother and paternal grandfather has closed many doors to finding my family history but today I hit paydirt. Drove into Butte after we set up camp at the lazy j trailer park. Nothing great except it is so windy here. Actually had to eat inside so that the plates would stay on the table. Tomorrow we will be driving into Kellispell, MT. Should be a beautiful drive. Well bedtime for ...

... I flagged down a husband and wife who were driving in a jeep. They stopped and I asked them if I could catch a ride up into Big Cottonwood Canyon. They informed me I still had a while to go, probably several miles and the uphill terrain would be very difficult. They agreed to give me a ride at least to the top of the mountain. We were a little unsure if the bike could fit in the back seat, but my resolve was strong and I made it happen! I got into the back seat with their dog, who's ...
