    Went skiing with the Reidy's and their cousins. Jay Peak is definitely a must on a skiers list. Some sweet glade skiing for novices. Packed powder. 25 degrees. Barely a breeze.     ... had breakfast at the bistro Louise Penny said was the inspiration for Gabriel and Olivier's B and B. Because of the duck fete the dining room had too many tables crammed in, but it had low ceilings and a fireplace, not lit in this heat of course. Afterward we walked over to the bookstore.     JC's birthday was on the Wednesday the 17th but we have been celebrating all week. It started on the 16th with a meal at home featuring his favourites, steak and Rissa's famous mushroom and Parmesan Risotto with a bottle of Cab/Sauvignon from BC.
