Spent a few hours hiking through the forest next to the Lodge, before heading down to Breckenridge and wandered around the town.
The morning starts off with another hike into the forest. Then its time for my friend Gerry to arrive from Cleveland Ohio.
These days are spent sightseeing in the car. Bonus was seeing a mother moose very close to the Lodge.
Tomorrow we begin our adventure to the west coast
... the Mountain Manhattan and Kelly had the White Hot Martini. We ordered starters - escargot, lamb tandoori, and potatoe chips with blue cheese and chives. Watched the Riviera golf tournament for a bit, talked to a bartender who used to live in Austin, and generally had a great time. Walked back to the condo, then watched the Oscars (not so great).

On the way back to Greeley, we stopped in Breckinridge bright and early to have some coffee and breakfast sandwiches. Ate at a cozy place on Main Street, on a comfortable couch in front of a fireplace. Perfect way to end our little Colorado getaway. ...
... you seem to get at Vail and not Beaver Creek are people refusing to use lift lines correctly and very poor on mountain etiquette such as stopping on slopes on sensible places and using the correct speed in the correct areas. At Beaver Creek tho is well 'policed' by yellow jackets but not hear and it really is something which needs to be looked at to keep all mountain users safe.
