      Up at the crack of dawn this morning for a sunrise drive. The air was crisp and cold but a welcome change from the increasing heat of the day-time drives.       ... grow a lot of spices! We went to a spice farm and did a lot of smelling and tasting of fruits and spices followed by lunch at a local home. After what we learnt about the slave trade out of West Africa we were also keen to learn more about the slave trade out of East Africa, which centred in Zanzibar and sent slaves to the Middle East.
