... The structure had two small houses built under two of it's arches,
We walked under the aqueduct up the steep cobbled, narrow lanes following the signs to the top of the hill and paid to enter the castle. The walls are in good condition as are a couple of buildings of which you can enter, the first one built in 1530 and was later converted into a prison, the roof was made of concrete type material with large ...

... and then couldn't remember how to say 'I don't understand I'm English' so he had to look in the phrase book! The man was very patient and waited.
All along the street there was hot water gushing out if pipes into the gully running down the edge if the road, the water is lovely and hot, I can just hold my hand under it without it burning.
The bath is a stone affair, maybe 20ft square with steps leading into it, the water gushes out if an overhead pipe. It ...

    Walking the bay of Kavala

On our final day, I walked to the west end of Kavala by the Lucy Hotel, which appears to be a beach resort. I roamed around the rest of the city and met with Kinda after she finished her presentation for the conference. Kinda was happy although she felt she could have done better. She met many experts on Islamic gardens at ...
