... from NYC. Perfect meeting point after a 534 mile drive.It is located in the far north east of the Adirondacks and we entered from the south west. It was slow going on back roads for a few hours but the views of the various lakes and mountain ranges were stunning.
We arrived exhausted around 9 pm, had a couple of glasses of wine and hit the hay as we all knew that we had a long weekend ahead of us.

This morning we head out early to a laundromat to do 3 weeks of laundry and catch up on internet and this blog. We arrive early at 7 AM so have the run of the place. Later this morning we will pick up our care package of medicines and fresh coffee sent by our good freind, Paalaka, from the village.

We did, however, drive through the Adirondacks and somehow managed to drive into the bike portion of an Ironman race. No, I mean we drove into it! Imagine how those guys on bikes felt after swimming for 2.4 miles, then trying to ride their bikes for 112 miles, only ...
... mark that's been there for approximately 60 years.. A sweet girl car hop came out and greeted us and took our order. We sat at the picnic tables out doors and enjoyed this special hot dog treat. A hot dog smothered in chilli flavoured finely minced beef. You must eat 2 of these little doggies to fully enjoy the experience!
