We began our journey yesterday (Friday) in Hartford. We left the house around 1:15 (just so you get an idea of total travel time) for our 3:25 flight to Atlanta. Given our combined luck with air travel, we were dubious about our flights. We made it to Atlanta with only slight delay and still had time to grab a bite to eat before the dreaded 15 hour flight. Arrival at Joburg airport and once again I managed to have 4 seats to myself for the long flight home

I listened intently for my name to be called, nope….Then at about 2:20, another
list of names were blaring through the PA system, I was anxiously anticipating
my name to be called as I was nervously chatting with the security guard to

Well we left Jhb in the poring rain this morning and road the 1st few Km's very wet. We did however dry out and by the time we stopped at the " have to do" 1st morning Wimpy coffee etc in Klerksdorp we were all relatively dry.
