... didn't arrive - broken down apparently) we got a cab to Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. Starving, we grabbed some food at Wipe Out which was delicious.

What a fantastic place San Francisco is, it's small and quaint with narrow streets and lots of old buildings. We especially liked the Fisherman's Wharf area, it had a nice buzz about it. ... After parking up we made our way towards the pier unbeknown the pier was 25 blocks away. It was quite a walk, taking a good hour before we reached the pier. We walked along Jefferson street, walking beside each pier, taking in the ambiance of the place. It was lovely to be in San Fran! What a fantastic city. We stayed in Japan Town, ate the most amzing Thai meal (surprising the staff with our 'fluent' Thai language) and we were in America.
First stop was to get poor Jessi's ear sorted, she had a whopping temp a leaky ear and was in so much pain, yet we still draged her round! Thinking back on what we put the kids through, they did so well, so proud of them, of all of us! Even days when one of us were too tired and couldn't ...
