Well today was our last full day in San Francisco. The day started with our usual early morning walk. One thing we have noticed is the amount of homeless people in the city. This morning a pregnant lady asked us for food, she wasn't after money just food. She was certainly happy when we walked out of Starbucks and gave her a bagel and cream cheese for breakfast.

We took our time meandering down alleys (except when the odor of urine was too strong and we had to speed it up for some oxygen), enjoying the murals. Every time you enter a shop or store in the US there is someone who will say "Welcome" and will ask you if they can help you. A Dutch store men rarely does that and if he does, hardly any Dutch person actually appreciates this. He hospital very well equipped with a hypotherapy area....a bath tub. We were both quite surprised at the facilities. We took an audio guide of the prison as we walked around the cells within it. It is awful to think what life must have been like confined within those small walls. in 1962 3 inmates escaped the prison by digging out holes in the wall ...
