  • Wire, sockets and switch from Jaycar and DSE.
  • These LED's seem to be really expensive if you buy them from a bricks-and-mortar store (like $100/m) or rediculously cheap (e.g. $10/m) if you get them from Hong Kong. Obviously you pay for convenience - although I recon that a dozen clicks and 2 weeks wait ...

    If you're getting a new van, you have the option to remove the wardrobe (at your expense!) and extend the counter top. Trouble is, in doing so, you loose the additional storage volume that the wardrobe provides.

    So, the conventional wisdom from Swan owners is to convert the space into shelves.

    ... storage space when right next to it is the empty 'power distribution compartment'! Empty except for the other 12V & 240V electrical components - which is where you'd have thought that they'd put the auxiliary battery in the first place <sigh>!

    So this isn't rocket science:

    ... around in: I favoured a plane, five star hotels and chauffeured limousines. She wanted to see the real country - new car, large caravan and six months to drive ourselves everywhere.

    In the end, we compromised: three months, a pop-top van and anti-clockwise. The compromise looks less like Hyatt's all the way, but we'll have lots more room, freedom and opportunity for adventure.
