... we’re travelling and not just sightseeing. We stayed here for an hour or two until we got bored of the ants on the ground biting us.

The final portion of the drive was through rocky outcrops and coves that looked out high over the lake. It’s another of these days where we could have stopped for pictures every 5 minutes. Our hotel is in South Lake Tahoe right on the Nevada California border which is notable purely because they ...

... performances are on the weekend and we will be gone. We'll head north over to Lassen National Park, although it is still closed due to snow. Same as the last time we tried to visit there. Ashland, OR next. Passed by Ashland after a 6 hour drive along 395, 44 , 89 and onto I5 . Beautiful all the way. New snow on the hills along the way. Lots of wineries in the Applegate Valley by Grants Pass and Jacksonville. But, it's time to scratch the home ...

From Monument Valley we drove to the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. It was freezing cold and windy but we still had spectacular views. We hopped back in the car and drove onto Route 66. It was like stepping back in time, with tumbleweeds on the road and an ...
