    Indeed I do have a headache and feel tired, and just want this section to end. The surface is now undulating slightly, and just as I get to the crest of one mound, certain that this is near the end, I see that there is at least another kilometre or so spreading out ahead of me. Eventually, however, I see the hut and campsite in a green gully with a stream down below.

    ... end destination of Lake Tahoe. This lies on the border between California and Nevada. We stayed in a nice little camp in Nevada and ventured down to the lake for a quick look, with the mist descending it made the lake look like a small sea with other lands shrouded in the distance.     ... saw what looked like a giant tree with giant balls hanging. Random. I snapped a picture. Finally we entered Nevada and THEN things got desolate. Lots of prisons but not a lot of anything else. Oh not only did we see snow in the mountains of Utah but also in Nevada. It was amazing to be driving in 100 degree weather and see snow up there. Finally we rolled into Sparks Nevada and checked in to the Nugget! The kids once again enjoyed burning ...

    Woke this morn about 230. Wide awake. So...just laid there and thought and thought and thought some more. About what the heck I'm doing, how I miss John and my dogs etc. BUT onto the subject at hand. Checked out of the hotel and called for a cab.     ... lines) in anticipation of massive queues. I guess at peak time, the wait might have been 45 minutes. No thanks. One thing they have added which makes queueing better is the outdoor DJ. I liked the reggae music at Skyline, made everyone feel like they were truly on holidays.
