... this was impossible because of the bumpy ride. The final kick in the teeth came just after passing a sign announcing we had only 15km to go. The bus stopped and a guy got on, talked to the driver, and it turned out the road ahead was flooded and impassable! While taking a taxi back to gather our things before our next daily adventure (to Cerro de la Muerte this time), our taxi driver took the liberty of driving a bit past our hostel to show us a sloth that was just hanging out (literally) right next to the main road. That was was the closest weŽd been to a sloth so far and this one was actually moving! Sweet!
