... we have stayed in Acacia Bay numerous times and have never managed to get up the hill to the cafe, it is a great little place, all decked out in mosaic artwork, including a life size couch.

Well next stop is Thames for a couple of nights, I think we have timed staying with Steve's parents perfectly with the upcoming miserable weather.

After a good night out with Rys, Denise and Greta we said our goodbyes this morning before setting off inland to Lake Taupo. Rys was a wonderful host and we had a great time in Napier. Der Bus brachte uns dann auch gleich zum Hostel, wo ich nur noch schnell eingecheckt habe, meine nassen Sachen (bis auf die Boxershort) im Trockenraum aufgehängt habe und dann meine Badesachen angezogen habe.

... to get worse. We spent the rest of the afternoon lazing about the hotel. The bar area had an open fire and some very comfy sofas and some massive windows through which we could see nothing but cloud. A few hot chocolates and a massive bowl of chips later we were feeling very cosy. That evening we continued our Lord of the Rings catchup with the third film (we couldn't find number two).
