Today, Friday, we had another great drive. We left Austin, Nevada by nine AM and had only about a hundred and fifty miles to travel. We moved lower and lower until now we're at about 4,400 above sea level. It's about seventy degrees here and feels great. Enroute we stopped at Petroglyph Site which was started by the Cattail People. The oldest petroglyph is about 8,000 years on up to 500 years ago. But, who's ...
... day especially for our last day of snow skiing. I have really enjoyed skiing and can't wait to do it again!! ; Ted's report: we went to Alpine Meadows to ski, we got the chair lift all the way to the top of the mountain, then we snow skied down it. I went 30km/h. At first I went on the kangaroo hop then it got boring so then I decided to go on the mountain and go fast. That wasn't boring. I ...

Olivia's report: Today I thought my skiing improved a lot. I learnt how to control my turning and was a lot more steady. My teacher (Kendall) gave me some great ...

Meals are a bit of a production, and showering requires project management! I'm used to solitude and space - a big house in which I am alone much of the time when Jose travels - but I find I am enjoying having everybody along, notwithstanding the fact that I have to be a bit of a Nazi to prevent things ...

We all hung around Gold Coast most of the morning. After meeting up with Ben, we skied down Mountain Run to the Silvermans’ friends’ pizza joint Le Chamois at the base of Squaw. The kids were done for the day. Mountain Run alone is probably equivalent to 5 consecutive runs back home. Also the altitude or our pace had gotten to us and Lucy came down with a nasty cold. We were down for the day ...
