POST CLIMB REFLECTION
... just before the 11am deadline, chill by the pool, pack, and engage in idle banter. We grab lunch and then its off to the airport.
The flight home is tough...its a long slog and we only arrive back at Joburg at 00:40 Monday morning. We are shattered and look like zombies. I then have a 7am flight to East London before I finally see my wife and son who are waiting for me at the airport. Done and dusted!

Het eten is superlekker. Allee, de pizza's toch. De krokodillenburgers zijn leuk om eens geproefd te hebben maar niet fantastisch. Naar gewoonte wegen de laatste loodjes het zwaarst en valt de avond hier al om 18u30.

To top off our history lesson, we headed to the Apartheid Museum. The Apartheid was a segregation law in South Africa in the 1970's, giving power purely to the white population. Blacks and coloureds were segregation from the white in terms of education, residence and even shopping and dining experiences. It was shocking!!! The current racial segregation is also unfortunate. We're staying at the Backpackers Ritz which is about 15 minutes from the city but in a predominately wealthy area full of massive houses and expensive cars. White's are served by blacks in restaurants and shops while 15 minutes down the road there are parts of the city of Joburg with large black ghettos with no white people ...

... drive when I meet up with the truck in Kenya. Wrote more journal and went food shopping for dinner. Jean got home at 7pm and she had already gotten dinner so that was cool. Had pork chops and veges and watched a few episodes of the Inbetweeners before calling it a night. Tuesday 24th May Lazy day.
