... case. We were both looking forward to crashing out in our little bit of luxury. Alas, we'd forgotten to stop and get groceries, so we hiked back into the main sweep of the village and spied Romans Pizza and Grill, a spit and sawdust type of establishment. Never judge a book by its cover, as we ate the most scrumptious onsite freshly baked pizza and Tofino brewed honey ale (Andrew) and Seafood Pasta and Pear Cider (Jenny).

After a lazy morning around the apartment we all meet up with Tess and Don to walk the uqulet lighthouse trail which was a small circular 3k trail around the ocean. Harrison loved playing on the rocks and managed to climb a large set of rocks which were at least twice his size. At the same time we saw a deer at the waters edge just calmly walking around the rocks and the grass verge. It was amazing to see. We continued ...

Slept in today and had coffee in bed before we ventured out of bed enjoying the cottage too much. Lucky for us the previous people that stayed here left behind some yogurt, orange juice and milk, so we had that for breakfast with our muesli.

... and who don’t know us at all! In New Zealand we stayed on farms, fare enough they were friends of Lorna’s, but they had never met us before and welcomed us into their homes! Indeed in New Zealand again, we met a guy from Seattle who gave us his email and said his mum would be happy to put us up in Port Angeles….that was after 40 minutes of conversation!
And again…. The Canadian girl in Tofino, twice offered to ask her friends ...

... tied up and said they had half a 5-gallon bucket filled in just over half an hour. Supposedly they taste like tuna! Shortly after, Dad got me set up with his casting reel off the docks and within 15 minutes I had eight in our bucket! They were fun to catch and fight right to the bitter end.

After our long feast we vegged for an hour and were in bed
around 11:00pm.
