... he was just sitting on the door handle of the front door. He was egging us on to pat him but at that stage we has not sure what the go was if we were aloud to pat them or not. The cocky then walked us in further where we say lots of beautiful parrots, more cocky's and macaws all out of their cages just sitting on tree branches, or flying around. ... It all seemed wonderful at first, working mornings in the garden learning how to grow vegetables on a larger scale. We even went surfing with equipment Dougie lent us which was great fun. The main downside was his horrible dig which kept us hostage in our camper! After the hatchery, we take the long highway that crosses the island westbound, driving to Pacific Rim National Park, where we buy our annual passes for all National Parks in Canada. The driving from Port Alberni to Pacific Rim is 90 km, with continuous bends around lake Kennedy. I forgot to mention yeasterday that I had stopped in MacMillan Park, aka Cathedral Grove... which is funnt because it was the one destination that I really wanted to come see on the island... The trees are HUGE, and they have a friendly feel to them... cedars and hemlocks that are hundreds of years old, some have fallen, leaving large benches to sit on, cool root systems, and places for new growth to ...
