    ... filled our fresh water tank 1/3 of the way full (about 17 gallons). We noticed that when we turned on our electric water pump, it stayed on consistently. That is not good! So we turned it on only when we needed. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that I had left the outside shower valve on. So when we turned the pump on, we pumped water through the shower to the ground. That was not a big deal as we had plenty of water for the toilet. But ...

    The drive through Indiana was okay until we hit Indianapolis. Then the road went for a dump. They really need to do some road repair! Indiana is basically flat farm land with trees. It is pretty but can be a little boring. That is probably not fair to say, since the farmers here probably feed half of the east coast. It is a pretty uneventful drive and I get some of my knitting done. The boys are quite happy sleeping on my new chair! We took out one of the couches ...

    ... Michigan college years I first met my good friend Scott while in Forestry School. We had much in common and instantaneously became BFF.     ... farm fields, and secondly, the sign out front said, "Pure Maple Syrup For Sale". Amish prices are always fair and I bought a 1/2 gallon to supply me for the upcoming year. After getting the syrup, we had pancakes the very next morning, "thanks Caryn".

    ... passed by three of these large crosses along the highway. The one in Texas claimed to be the largest in North America, however, the one in Effingham, Illinois is 10 feet taller and claims to the be tallest in the world. All I know is these crosses can be seen for miles and make an impressive sight along the roadway.

    Tomorrow should bring us within a short drive to home.
