... the Vivid Festival, a light display all over the city lasting a couple of weeks. At Darling Harbour they put on a show every hour using water fountains and lights, to create 3D holograms of various famous musicals and dances, from Lion King to Swan Lake. Once finished I found myself a nice spot to enjoy my lunch that I bought the day before at Woolworths, a grocery store chain. The Circular Quay pathway leads right to the Sydney Opera House. ... One of our comrades said they reminded her of Miami Beach. 3. Family. People here seem to cherish and make time for family. Most businesses close at 5 so people can go home to enjoy family time. Children seem to be well behaved. 4. Fashion. Weekend attire is very casual. Shorts and sandals but during the week people dress up. Men in shirts and sport coats - ladies in dresses. It is rare to see tennis shoes. 5. Coffee ...
