... here to celebrate the arrival of 2014! Scared that I might yack on the ferry ride again, I took the "recommended dose" of motion sickness medicine from a Thai pharmicist. And it worked! No throwup! Except for the small side effect of 8 hours of sleeping the whole 3-hour boat ride, plus 5 hours at the bungalow, plus 12 hours that night. ... s just a completely different world. I did scuba-ing more 'cos I felt it was something to do (to be fair, not sure I would have thought much of Koh Tao otherwise), but I think learning to scuba dive was possibly the best thing I did in Asia. Which sounds bad in a way as you can do that in so many other places, but it surpassed my expectations by such a wide margin. ... After their sightings yesterday I didn't want to miss out! We swam around the rocks on the right side of the bay and saw many tropical fish again, followed by one large fish the size of a coffee table, but nothing with sharper teeth. Then, as we started to make our way back in to shore one of the girls pointed over to the rocks and there he was, a shark! They were only small, about a metre long, but it was still slightly unnerving. It was amazing to see though!
