... then he decided to jump off to allow a photograph to be taken. I think a little scream of fear may have escaped from my lips at this point, despite me trying to be cool and calm so the elephant didn't pick up my nervous vibes. I should have had more faith as the elephant was calmly controlled with words from his mahout and cleverly helped the mahout back onto its back by bending his knee. ... other seemingly not so successful. As we head along the beach we notice there are fewer ghost crabs and hermit crabs, and luckily for me there is no sign of supercrab waiting to attack my toes. We are also starting to see some jet skis, banana boat type things and lots and lots of windsurfers and kite surfers.

There are more resort hotels as we get closer to town, but still a shortage of bars, cafés and restaurants ...

... than people! When we arrived in Hua Hin I got taxi to hotel and checked in, the room seems okay but the bathroom isn't very nice and there's no kettle or hot water so going to be hard cleaning my eye!�� feel a bit lonely again, but hey oh only a week to go!! I went and worked out in the gym, which is tiny but does the trick, then got some food from 7/11 then got into bed and played on iPad till I went to sleep ...

After a painful Sunday with Thomas having picked up a stomach bug (probably from T eating street food with Dad watching Barcelona), we headed back to Bangkok only to be caught in the Queen's motorcade travelling back from the Royal retreat in Hua Hin... 6 hours later we got back to Bangkok. Painful weekend!

Tossed my suitcase up there, all 23kg of it (which made it about 1/2 full) he checks it in, slaps a tag on it, gives me my boarding pass, asks if the seat is okay, says have a nice day. Whoo hoo!!!
