      ... etiquette is in this situation (I was about to settle for just knocking on his front door and saying 'Kracow' until he figured me out) when out of the house comes War-Beard and another similarly ancient bloke.

      I'm immediately introduced to the new guy, Todd Hunter (no **** that is his name, I've got his business card) who promptly, in excellent English, asks me what I'm up to and whether I want a ride into town.

      I had attended the ICM Congress in Durban, South Africa in 2011 and had found it to be an amazingly moving and almost spiritual experience. It had affirmed my belief, not only in the power of women, but also in the value of midwives and the difference that excellent midwifery care can and should make to women worldwide.       ... and climb these stacks without rope, assistance or sensible guidance and kill themselves. I just cannot see it being allowed in any western country. Maybe they have no need since common sense dictates you just wouldn't do it, but ... there is a pub next door! One of those things that falls into the category 'only in the Czech Republic'.

      Enough for now, a housewarming awaits me. Time to fire up the Yamaha and be on my way.
