... high up and quite small so didn't photograph them. Lunch in the square and then a quick wash and off for our afternoons excursion. We walked to Wenceslas square to meet our tour, lots of shops of course including, C & A, Marks and Spencer, Debenhams, etc. We set off in a small bus and the tour was took 3 hours, it was impossible to do more than tell you what was what in that time suggesting you return and explore ...

... that we are very religious! But sometimes the architecture and ornaments can be quite stunning as well. Unlike the churches in Germany, all of them here charge an entry fee.

We only had 15 minutes to rush up the hill to see the changing of the guard, but because we are so fit we made it there early! There was a large crowd of people swarming around the front gate and one poor guard had to make a way through the middle of them so the other guards could march in. ...

... of community art. There were pictures on display from the recent flooding in June. This particular area in Prague was one of the most devastated. We stumbled upon giant baby statues that Pam had read about and was intrigued by (see pic), and a moving memorial to Czechs impacted by Communism. We were happy that we had done most of our sight seeing yesterday, as the heat became almost unbearable by mid-afternoon. What better way to cool down than with a huge ...

Yesterday evening, we met some of the guys living in our dorm and they were kiwi's! I totally didn't understand for ages that this meant they were from New Zealand! I knew their accents were either NZ or Aussie but when they called themselves kiwi's it threw me massively! We spent the whole evening with them and the whole of today too! In the evening we had a drink and listened to live jazz music and In the morning we all went to a communist museum which was mega interesting! ...

... By pure luck we stumbled into the changing of the guard ceremony in the first courtyard of the castle. It lasted about 15 minutes and was pretty neat. From there we toured St. Victor Church, which sits inside the castle grounds. Being that the castle was from the medieval period, it was much more gothic than the others we have seen.
