    ... young ones. I think Sri Lanka is one of the best places to experience a temple. It is peaceful, quiet, in a beautiful setting and most of all simple. There aren’t many ornaments and also we are the only tourists around. We have seen many over the last months and I never felt such serenity.

    We woke up early, happy to see the sun was shining for our journey to Negumbo. We started off my traveling about half an hour on a bus to Matara. From here it was meant to be a simple express bus all the way to Columbo, however as with previous journeys, the trip didn't turn out to be simple at all. We got an express bus which took us to a place called Kadwala which was in the middle of nowhere so we had to get another bus to take us to Columbo. This next bus had to be the slowest ...

    ... played with wooden boards in which you slot the correct shaped animal/ shapes into the correct place. It was one of the Down syndrome girls birthday so the teacher brought out a cake with candles on, it was pleasant to see this, the cake is cut into bite sized pieces and the girl who's birthday it was feeds each one of her fellow class mates a piece of cake and then like you would greet someone by kissing each cheek, they do this ...

    ... in other parts of the world and indeed been invited into them and treated with the utmost hospitality. I really am unsure if this is specific to this building, Sri Lanka in general or for some other reason but if I do discover the reason I shall
    amend this tip accordingly. I am sure that Islamic travellers would be perfectly at liberty to enter for prayer or just to look around.

    ... left just out front. Really enjoyed the wave "Plantation" a bit down the way. When the swell drops going to try out the heavier reef break called "Rams".
    Next day Teresia, Ludda and I went to find the local temple. Was a beautiful walk through mangroves, little house, really lush tropical setting. At the temple there were this adorable little monks, probably about 10 years old. They come coming up and just staring at me then would run off giggling, so cute.
