This morning was not a great one. I woke up with a sore throat – I actually had it coming on last night. And I woke up before the alarm, again. I thought it would be a good idea to get in the shower before the alarm sounds and Jim gets up. When I am finished Jim is sitting on the edge of the bed, but the room is still dark. It is roughly 8:00 a.m. We are not in a great rush today. Our stop for tonight is Revelstoke, BC. That's only three hours ...

Today we both slept until the alarm sounded. To be fair, it was set for 7:45 a.m. which is earlier than the 9:00 a.m. which has been the norm. We are in a bit of a rush so that we can get out of here by 9:00 a.m. so that we can make it to the Kettle Valley Railway for 10:00 a.m. This is something we have both been looking forward to. First things first, though. I want coffee. We manage to get out the door by the time we needed to and go to the truck. ...

Brees riding is improving heaps and she is taking me to new places ...

... the local banjo player talking about guarding his apples from the bears last night with a 12 gauge. His main concern was the cougars though which were also causing trouble. I don't remember the last time I protected our fruit with a 12 gauge, but they were obviously really good apples.

Another ferry trip over the lake and we had lunch while checking out the local logging yard which is basically all of the logs wired together floating in the lake. ...

... course we wanted to make the most of our time at Kelowna and it was time for some more golf. I searched the web and found the Gallagher's Pinnacle course where we could play a quick 9 holes in the morning before departing for Vancouver. It was just what we needed. A par 32 track with lots of elevation changes and gorgeous views. We completed our round and we were on the road by noon. That got us to Vancouver ahead of afternoon traffic and downtown to the West End by 4:30 in the afternoon. ...
