Sleepy towns
... checked out the town. We walked along the water and saw a gorgeous sunset. We checked out the hockey stadium-home to the Kelowna Rockets-and saw some guys training. We had a look in the shops, had some beautiful Thai for dinner, went to a pub to have a beer and watch some hockey and then called it a night. Visiting family in Kelowna

little place called Golden where there were literally acres of autumn trees
creating fields of golden colours. We presume this is where the name came from?
Regardless of its origin, it was beautiful. Sorry, no pics, we were moving and
because Keith was driving, no stopping! (Our kids will relate to this).

Some Random Campsite
Kelowna was another nice town, much bigger than Golden and Vernon, also with lots of farming and vineyards in the area. After touring around a little bit, we learned that its also a much more expensive place to live. It's considered the 'Napa Valley’ of Canada, complete with vineyards, a beautiful lake, and lots of sailing in the area. We didn’t get a good look at Ogopogo the lake monster, maybe he was sleeping.

Wine Tasting
... we got taken to a different venue and so it took longer than expected once we figured that out.
We enjoyed the wine tasting. My only surprise was how teeny some of the samples were. We then went back to the hotel for some more wine and food.

Pit Stop
We caught an early morning flight from Ottawa to Kelowna, the city/town closest to Big White. We picked up a rental car from the airport and headed straight up to Big White to see a potential 'condo'. We had made a pact that we wouldn't make a decision on the flat without sleeping on it. We were really impressed with what we saw, it was furnished to a modern standard and the owner seemed to care about the place, without being too attached or overbearing. Whilst ...
