... tried his hardest to get me to pay for the pleasure of his company and the picture, but i have “no money” so all is good.
The ride from Jungle Junction today was great, very green and lush. We climbed up to 2700 meters and back down to 1700 meters. I rode through the great rift valley that starts in Israel and goes to Mozambique. A very good days riding.

... a place called the Wildebeest Camp to us but we weren’t sure and Sue our guide knew nothing about it. We had a look at their website though and prices were within our budget and interestingly had deluxe tents which had en suites, 2 kilometres from the centre of town so it sounded promising. A phone call revealed they had availability so we jumped in a cab and headed off.
What a great decision that was. The Wildebeest used to be a residential property but has now ...
"Mzungu" = white person. "How are you?" = the only english words African kids know how to say to mzungus.. haha This is what I hear ALL DAY LONG!!! As soon as we step out from Margaret's house kids will come running, literally, yelling "how are you" to us. It's hilarious. Some have never seen a white person in all of their lives.
I have a lot to update on though, so I will get started! Since I last wrote we finished ...
... came to visit from South Africa and organised a rustic villa overlooking the beach, with its magical white sand and crystal blue water....it was even better than the beach in Zanzibar! We stayed for 6 days, enjoying some amazing seafood meals, relaxing beers by the beach and just simply hanging out with good company. We reluctantly headed back to Nairobi on a dreadful 13-hour bus journey, and found out upon our arrival that the new truck we were ...

Chad and I were in a group leaving the 3rd morning, and though everyone who went before us was careful not to talk about their experiences, we could tell from their bursting smiles that they had not been disappointed.

Our flight with over 400 passengers, a lot of whom who are working with education facilities, churches or church groups, arrived at the same time as a flight from London's Heathrow airport and another from Dubai. There were already other flights from Johannesburg and Zanzibar being processed. That said, the staff ...

2. English and Swahili are the official languages of Kenya but any words with the letter 'r' in will not be understood unless you roll them. Getting to the railway station was a challenge until we grasped this.
3. Don't underestimate the weight of water or overestimate the miraculous effects of BMF - you may end up stranded inside a tent shower unable to hoist the bucket back up ...
... it we booked on a 6 day Maasai Mara safari leaving 25th July. So today was spent info gathering and sadly the centre of Nairobi is full of touts trying to book you on their tours and taxis plying for a fare and ugly uninteresting office buildings. Also there are loads of men hanging around on the streets doing I don’t know what but it seems little. We got some dinner at a local cafe which was just ok and slept in our clean beds.

We thought it probably wasn’t the most responsible thing for us to be treating patients with already compromised immune systems. At Cana, our last visit was spent passing out the toothbrushes that Robyn’s dentist very generously donated to us. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough for the entire school, which has at least 100 kids. We started off at the oldest classrooms and handed out ...
