Today we visited the UNESCO town of Telc. Pronounced Telch like belch. Un untouched 16th. century town.

Had a limited castle tour as they are filming the movie "Emperor". Barbara auditioned for a solo and got the part!! Only problem, we can't be here for the rest of the filming.

... for books in German, Latin, Spanish, Italian, and French. A case held books dating back to the 1600's. The Chapter Huose was a beautiful room with fabulous acoustics, now used for concerts and weddings. The cloisters were especially lovely, with renaissance decoration. And then there was the church. ... head supports, oven shelves, toilet seats etc etc it just gets shabby.

Anyway a couple of Austrians asked if I knew anywhere showing the football and i was able to google it. Also booked ferry home under a special offer. Later i went out for a wander and went into a tiny cavern bar, Had a really nice atmosphere; the clientèle was groups of females drinking before something else. Boisterous without being annoying. So found a corner table and kindled for a few hours. Very nice.

... with him and it turned out that his pension was full, too, but he had a friend in the area who had a room he rented out. He called his friend for us who came to lead us to his house. In spite of the poor quality of my German we were able to use it to accomplish what we needed.

While we were waiting the owner of the pension tried to interest us in various items he had for sale in his antique store next door to the pension ...

... an old castle armament building from the 13th century and there was only four tables and no lights, just candles. There was some ancient weapons on the walls as well of some old family crest paintings. Very neat atmosphere.

We ordered dinner a some beers. I had a pork steak with mushroom sauce, Christine had grilled chicken and Derik had stuffed beefsteak. We all had the backed potatoes as a side. Let me tell you, that was one of the ...
