    ... over to Paradise Island to see the Atlantis Hotel and Casino. While looking for a cab we saw a steel band performing on the street. We also saw a man in a white suit walking around, who looked very official. The best treat was seeing the guy directing traffic in his white coat and pith helmet.     ... br> Day 2 we arrived in Nassau the capital of the Bahamas. Our on board cruise director told us diamonds were cheap in Nassau so off we went to find "a girl's best friend". A little disappointing not as cheap as we had hoped, in fact quite dear.     ... There were times where I was hallucinating big time in the dark. Obviously we were sleep deprived. After 26 straight hours we reached Nassau at 10:30 a.m. and were back on the shallow Bahama Banks. The procedure is once we got to the harbor we had to call to Harbor Control for permission to enter the harbor.
