... Moviestar and Claro. It kind of blows my mind how much of the market Kolbi has. It's owned by ICE (Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad), which is like their PG&E. So, it's kind of like PG&E also owning Verizon and AT&T. You "recharge" or add more minutes/textx to your phone at about 1/3 of the stores. Everywhere from shoe stores to corner markets to camera shops can recharge your Kolbi. Pharmacies always sell Kolbi,

... It is pretty chilly up there too. We stopped off for some lunch on the way back down and then went to a town called Cartago to see the Basilica de nuestra señora de los ángeles which was stunning. It is the most venerated religious site in the country. La negrita is a small representation of the virgin mary which was found on this spot in 1635 by a native woman. It's Luis Alejandro's birthday today (17) so the whole family is arriving for a birthday supper. He is the eldest grandchild and much loved by the whole family. The newest and much loved grandson, Morgan, is in the 'community garage' playing futsal until they all arrive.
