... the early one. We chilled out for the rest of the afternoon because we were up early again tomorrow to begin the trip to San Jose then on to Santa Teresa. We got to San Jose before lunch and Lisa had organised a haircut at a salon in a nice outer suburb. Cariari -> La Pavona -> Tortuguero

We had a quick breakfast then went to catch the bus to La Pavona where we could get the boat to Tortuguero. We had negotiated a rate for accommodation with the captain so when we arrived set off to find our cabinas. Turns out they were super central and right on the river.

... accommodation, Evergreen Adventure Lodge. The boat ride was spectacular where we saw many birds and lush green vegetation. We walked to the beach where we saw baby green turtles.
