The bus didn't go over the Charlestown Bridge coz we weren't heading in that direction. But we got close enough to see it and take a pic.

... cladding- to Fenway Stadium and the highlight of the day. Boston Red Sox vs Baltimore Oriels. Our first and possibly only professional baseball game. Our thoughts:

1.Tom thinks he would have been keen to play it if he had lived in US and could see himself getting into it as a spectator.

2. James thought it was pretty good but like all US sports pretty tedious ( he went to an American Football game when he went to Space Camp).

Late rising once more, I managed to use the time lost in bed as a valid reason to catch the shuttle down to the T station..

Off in Boston, straight to Starbucks, Latte and danish, coming to grips with the differing taste in coffee here...

... were buried standing up and others have up to 25 bodies in one grave plot.  Many famous revolutionary leaders, including signers of the Declaration of Independence are buried here.  One being John Hancock.   John had a dislike for George Washington because he was jealous of him.  Once when George was in town John pretended to be sick so he did not have to attend a parade for George.  This annoyed George and he decided to show up at his house ...

... We cleaned up and retired to the bar. The fashion theme was "black and white" and dinner theme was "romantic." While the food was plentiful and good, the relation to romance escaped me initially. They used Mediterranean as the stand-in, with lots of couscous, chicken and the like. Desserts were particularly good with a variety of cakes.
