... just see the peak of the mountain and make out the snow on top. Not a great view but at least we can still say we saw it!

The sunrise was INCREDIBLE! Gorgeous bright pinks covering the horizon with a lone acacia tree and a single elephant in front of it. It was such a stunning sight. We sat there for quite some time just absorbing the beauty and serenity of this African sunrise. I've never seen anything so beautiful as that scene.

Sa**************ed out to Tsavo West
National Park for our safari excursion. The ride is supposed to take
a 4 hours but it took us almost 6. One of our students was sick and
kept having to pull over to vomit, traffic was slow at times, the
road is terrible as usual etc. I love road trips through new places
so I just listened to my Ipod and stared out the window. Along the

... growing in stark contrast to the severe water shortage along the coast at Ukunda. We gave little kids sweets along the way, and we got to the “Honeymoon Lodge” in Tsavo West right on the border (Voyager Zwani Lodge) situated on a lovely lake, full of crocodiles and hippos. You could see the hippos and crocodiles in the lake when we got there. What a lovely, lovely peaceful place, and a tented lodge much nicer ...
