... a show quickly and some elephants followed soon after. Of course there were heaps of impalas and wilderbeests. We then had a a bit of a break until we came across a huge group of baboons who entertained us for the best part of 15 minutes. There were two massive grandfathers right down to a tiny baby who grabbed a ride with mum. Next we found a beautiful pair of lions relaxing under a tree down on the river bed. We don’t get close, in fact, ...

... this place, but it helped having somewhere else to look forward to. I was the first person checked in and had almost 2 hours after security til my flight to Johannesburg. Had a good shirt flight then my next flight to hoedspruit was delayed so I had more time to wait. Finally when it did take off it was like flying to Toronto from Ottawa, super short. Next thing I knew I was at the cheetah project. We first got settled in, then we went for a tour of the place. It's a lot ...

... various tour guides wait for their guest. We met our guide and met another Australian family from Sydney also doing the multigenerational holiday and all piled into a mini van. The trip to our camp was about an hours drive and when we hit the red dirt road our excitement level was increased further by seeing a giraffe and a herd of zebras along the way.

Once we arrived at Honeyguide Tented Safari Camps, we were given ...
