When Cindy asked that I do this entry I knew I should, because our brief stay at Hemlock Hall was a glowing highlight of my trip. I knew it as soon as we turned at the entry sign and started twisting our way up and down the road to the lodge. I inhaled. And then exhaled. Damp earth.
