... before the sun came back out again! Then half an hour later it rained with a real purpose, it went really dark and it didn't look like stopping! By half 5 it went a lot colder (believe it or not we actually had a little oil heater on in the lounge)!! Dinner was a homemade chicken pie with potatoes! unit with a load of Northerners, a Canadian and a Brazilian. All
were nice and with the rain we ended up chatting to them quite a lot
and spending the evening in. Not wanting to miss all of Noosa and
with free hire and a break in the rain, Paul and the Brazilian went
to catch some waves on Sunshine beach. Hmmmmm, the rain may have held
off but the sea was immense; chopping everywhere and they lasted
... and accrued enough points for a free night stay at the Sheraton hotel. All Nathan's Germany trips have certainly paid off! It was hilarious walking up to the entrance with our backpacks. There was a strange sense backpackers don't stay here! There were worried looks from other guests checking in. ... had a look at the market stalls and then made our way up to the stoke house bar and restaurant. It over looks the river and is stunning. There were 3 Swedish hitch hikers heading South and I suggested that we pick them up, keen to meet some more new people. Now, this wasn't totally out of the blue, we had discussed that it might be fun when we had seen hitch hikers before, but I think the buzz from the last few days was what made us (mainly me!) take the plunge!
