    ... beers all afternoon with my mate!

    I stayed one night at Nomads Backpackers, just a two minute walk to the Reef Hotel. I emerged myself in the hammock. I was so relaxed before I went out. I had a really great night and day, saw everyone that I knew, caught up with my best mate in the world, swam in the ocean and had a fantastic smooth flight up.

    In the distance we could see what looked like a dormant Volcano smoking, we later found out it was actually a forest fire on the side of it.

    Next stop Sunshine beach, recommended by Luke. Weaving through residential roads, we found a path to the beach. Again a large expanse of sand which never gets crowded. Beautiful sapphire clear water of the Pacific, make great surfing. A man parked up at the same time ...

    ... found the recommended campsite which was on the Noosa River and caught sunset while having our first experience of Goon (Australian boxed wine!). We sat near to some very large pelicans! As this was a popular caravan park there were only unpowered sites available for us, so we took our food, drinks and games over to the communal BBQ area.
