By half 5 it went a lot colder (believe it or not we actually had a little oil heater on in the lounge)!! Dinner was a homemade chicken pie with potatoes! We had another day alcohol free (feeling better for it too). Our movie this evening was Star Trek-Into Darkness! We had an early night around 9pm! ...

were nice and with the rain we ended up chatting to them quite a lot

... had a look at the market stalls and then made our way up to the stoke house bar and restaurant. It over looks the river and is stunning. Here we spent the remainder of the day drinking yet more cocktails, and eating yet more food. Tom did manage to write his postcards though !! A stroll back over the bridge and up towards the hotel. Sat pondering some more and then collected our bags and made our way to the train station. We worked out that I had time to go with Tom to the airport and ...

... had all gone our separate ways truth be told and I think this played a big role in our next decision. There were 3 Swedish hitch hikers heading South and I suggested that we pick them up, keen to meet some more new people. Now, this wasn't totally out of the blue, we had discussed that it might be fun when we had seen hitch hikers before, but I think the buzz from the last few days was what made us (mainly me!) take the plunge! I got out of the car to talk to ...
