They say if your stationed in Japan and you don't climb Mt Fuji, you are destine to return to Japan. I thought I had climbed it during my last tour to Misawa, but it appears I missed getting to "The Top" since I'm serving another tour of duty at Misawa Air Base.

The glasses in front of me lay smashed across the table, the models and the other fat clingers on friends (myself included) facing off with each other table in a cloud of menthol, heavy tar ice-blast cigarettes.

The terminal at Narita is hot as usual. Glad I have shorts and a short sleeve shirt on. Al is melting. All three of our bags comes out towards the front of the line on the carousel, another perk of flying CW.
After immigration is done we find the lockers and squeeze the three previously checked bags into two. Then down to the station and on to the Narita Express to Shinjuku.
The N’Ex is expensive – JPY12,000 ...
How has this lodge rated in the past?
Very nice rooms, great food, but there internet service, if you can even call it that, leaves a GREAT deal to be desired! Could only access WiFi in my room twice and got dropped both times. Had to roam around the lobby trying to pick-up the signal there.
