Staniel Cay Yacht Club is THE hangout here. (Literally. It's the only one!) But it is a busy place! Not only do they have marina facilities, they also have cottages, and they own Watermakers Airlines.

One more fun item on the Big Majors Spot / Staniel Cay agenda was snorkelling at Thunderball ...

... that it was no longer waterproof while we were there, so the number of photos since Cambridge Cay is rather limited.

We snorkelled several times here and saw some great sea life: Sea Turtles, baby conch, Ocean Triggerfish, Nassau Grouper, Eagle Rays, Angelfish, Queen Angels, Squirrel fish, Parrotfish…just to name a few!

Money CAN buy you land in paradise! -but not water

... of lights on this island at night make you wonder if it shines like a beacon up to outer space! There must be twenty wifi signals at full strength, but they are all locked - Doh! C'mon, when you've got that much money, can't you just open up one signal so that we can check weather?!? :)

We spent two nights at Norman's Cay in the anchorage just off the beach club. The new owners of McDuff's (Beach Club) are prepping for their grand opening, but in the meantime they were doing a "soft opening". I got to see the iguanas!!! But boy! The 'price' we paid to see them was less than worth it. Allen's Cay, although beautiful, was very uncomfortable. At least I thought so. Maybe it was just the days while we were there, but the swift current, with the opposing wind, and a less-than-desirable holding ground made for one ...
