... nearly every small town we have traveled through on this trip, there is a post office. Greer was no exception, either. Even though it was only 3:00, it wasn’t open. We didn’t check the hours but we wondered why it wouldn’t be open at that time on a weekday. I checked the hours online when we got back and they are supposed to be open from 8-11:30 and noon-3:30 on weekdays.

... feet we came to Zion National Park, a park with a very high opinion of itself. It is justified by its nature, but I think it attracts a wealthier clientele than most other parks for some reason. At its boundary, for example, is a Birkenstock store. This just doesn't exist at the Everglades or at Yellowstone. The sand started getting looser and deeper and the bike was all over the place. When I saw a steep valley I was pretty sure I would not be able to make it back up if I continued so I made a upturn but got stuck in the sand.
