I woke up early for another shower and found Patrick in the laundry room just barely putting the clothes in the dryer. I asked if they had gotten mildew from sitting all night and he said no. After waiting around, I checked on the finished laundry while Patrick stared at his Instagram and lounged on one of the couches inside. The clothes were still wet and everything reeked of mildew. I was really frustrated. I'm really tired of leaving after 10am from ...

... responsible for paddling through the rain and light but chilly wind. Paddling Miss Daisys. An hour out on the lake and nothing caught but a few snags and a stick or two. Back at the cabin I quickly rekindled the dying fire - the whiskey wasn't warming me quite quickly enough. Lazy afternoon (what other kind of afternoon is there?) on the couches sleepily watching 1967's Cape Town Affair. We started with American Graffiti but were all bored ...

We left there filled with awe at the beauty and gratitude of the lesson we learned and the sights that we saw. Continuing on down the SEAWAY TRAIL we noticed many areas of marshland that reminded us of our own coastal regions back in South Carolina, only these marshlands were not near an ocean, but near a lake instead.

The rest of our day was spent through beautiful ...
