A busy 12 hour day touring in the city. We started in the North end at Charlestown Navy yard and toured the USS Cassin Young - destroyer and Old Ironsides the USS Constitution and museum. Then off to the Science Museum for the afternoon. Liked Hall of human body, grossology, and saw electricity show with Tesla Coils.
Ended a fun day with a Duck tour of Boston streets ...

... we finally discovered the modern side of Montreal. From here we ventured towards the 'mountain', aka Mount Royal Park, upon which Montreal surrounds. It was our aim to reach the cross that stands upon the summit. Interestingly no building within the city is allowed to surpass the height of the cross, which was originally placed in 1641, standing at 31 metres. ... the trolly bus taking in as much as we could in the few hours we had left in Boston.

Finally catching the MBTA back to Quincy I did my meteorologist bit and declared a rain storm imminent... This was met with utter disdain by herself... "the sun is shining" we will walk from the station.. she wanted to punish me for the pizza slice I had so enjoyed for lunch..

The clouds were so low and black I could not understand ...

... the tea that was dumped into Boston Harbor the night of the Boston Tea Party.  She never actually cashed the check but put it on display in a museum.  In front of the Old State House is also where the Boston Massacre happened in 1770.  This building is over 300 years old and is the oldest building still standing from the original 13 colonies.  The next stop on the Freedom Trail tour was Paul Revere’s house.  The house dates back to the 1680’s ...

... After lunch, we laid around, trying to avoid direct sun. We did go swimming in the ocean for a rather long-time. I used mask and flippers. I saw a starfish, a pair of sunglasses, which Brent dove for and recovered and a part of a bathing suit or similar thing. The bottom is pure white powdery sand.
