      Good for what we needed

We had 6 girls in one room. Very little room between the beds. Seems much more efficient to have bunk beds instead of single beds. But we only needed to sleep. Pillows also pretty bad. But again... Only needed to sleep. Upside of 2 showers and having nyala on our door step the last morning

Had a great time, but its also a lot of hard graft and most certainly not for bunny huggers or anyone adverse to meat or the occasional dead animal.. Well worth the visit.

Our rain check on Kruger could not have been more successful. An early wake up and 5am departure had us in the park and 'safari-ing' as the sun rose. Being our first experience with Kruger we had been warned that there was a possibility of seeing nothing. It's the luck of the draw. But my goodness was luck on our side today. First of all and most …

Today was another amazing day! The morning, one of the best. We went kloofing in Blyde River Canyon, which is a combination of caving, canyoning and rock jumping. The landscape and scenery was amazing and was a great South African adventure to experience. We did 4 rock jumps, the highest being 11m. We ended the adventure in a small village within …

We also saw lions who were rescued from a Russian circus and 2 lions accidentally bred in captivity. When a lion is bred in captivity they can never be returned to the wild. We saw cheetahs which are now on the endangered species list. They breed them to increase the population. The breed only for area ...

... to wake up the other guests. Terry and David are leaving after breakfast today, so there will be just six of us on the evening drive. Today is our walking tour, we are on our way around 5:00. Sue isn’t feeling well, so she doesn’t join us. We are joined by Andre, another guide who also carries a big rifle. The rifles are not covered up this time. Andre is more of the botanist, so between him and Johan, we learn a lot about the wild flowers and grasses. ...

... tracking devices & gps, baited lions that needed to be move back into the reserve. Wow, it's been cool working with these dedicated souls. We are out in the middle of the day when the game drives are not out because the lodges do not allow their guests to walk out in the bush. There are no enclosures so the animals roam freely and there are many dangers - lions, rhinos, elephants, ...
