Road to Milford
Milford Sound Making our way from Queenstown we drive between the Eyre mountains and the Remarkables range. A fairly nice day to take in the sights from the road, stopping now and then for pictures. It was interesting to see the terrain change from mountains and lakes into the glacier valleys with farm and pasture lands. Approaching Te Anau we were …

I was woken up at 8:30am by a surprise alarm as Andrew had failed to inform me of his early morning plan, even though we did not have to check out of our hostel until 10am. I wasn't particularly happy but we did have a fair bit of stuff to pack up so I got up and got ready whilst Andrew went to a supermarket. However, I failed to pack anything as …

Great place to stay in Milford rather than the carpark near the boat terminal. Great lounge, kitchen and showers and a little shop. Had a really nice atmosphere and really enjoyed my stay

it is a popular little spot, the communal areas are great but be aware the non powered sites are in the car park. Still a great location and even parking in the car park it was still better than other places we had stayed.
