We have now left the magnificent scenery of the mountains, and are now driving across the prairie with not much to see. We are going to spend the night in Rawlins. It here we meet a few interesting characters and spend some time conversing with them. Lots of cute little cotton bunnies wandering around the camp ground. Looks like we have a nice night here in Rawlins, as it can be one very windy place.

    ... generosity! Stay Awesome!

In Missoula, Turbo Diesel hoped to be reunited with her cell phone and wallet... No such luck! In fact, we found out that it was somewhere lost deep in the depths of the postal service system. The Missoula Post Master had absolutely no idea where it was, where it was going or how to get it to me. We'd just have to wait to see where it ended up and go from there! We passed a huge oil refinery outside of Sinclair and it must have snowed last night because the evidence was on both sides of the road. On a sad note, we also passed numerous deer road kill. The deer are plentiful in Wyoming - you can see them grazing on the plains. There is a gradual transformation as we ...

... and Orange Garage Camp Cabins, and as you can see by the picture of the re-furbished cabins, the cost started at a grand total of $1 per night! They even had their own carports next to the rooms to tuck their cars away safely at night.

We stopped for lunch in Lyman, Wyoming and once again headed eastward. Shortly we were into a wide arid desert area once again. We drove in and out of variously colored badland types of melted landscape. We have ...

... golf course here next to the laundry. The balls must be of lead. :O) Without the faithful Tonto, I hesitated to play. I did notice a group of teenagers there last evening enjoying a round.

Aside from the wind and the bleakness of the town, the area is beautiful. The clouds are beautiful. I’ll add a few shots that I took yesterday to this episode.

More from farther north, if I have ...
